Bobby, released in 1973, is a popular Bollywood film directed by Raj Kapoor. The film was widely popular, and widely imitated. It also represented the film début for Dimple Kapadia and the first leading role for Raj Kapoor's son, Rishi Kapoor.
Indiatimes Movies ranks the movie amongst the Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films.[1] The film became a "blockbuster" and was the top grossing hit of 1973[2]; it also became the second top grossing hit of the 1970s decade,[3] and placed 10th in the all time box office hits.[4]

- This movie was so popular that many children born that year or later were named Bobby. At that time even Russian names, such as Monica and Tanya, were popular in India and this movie is one of the reasons many Indians are named Bobby, particularly in North India.[citation needed]
- The Main Shayar To Nahi song was picturised on Rishi Kapoor in this movie. The same song was reused and picturised again on him as Karan's father in movie "Hum Tum" at the Paris Airport.
- This was the first film for both Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles.
- Both Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia embarked on a real-life romance, but it ended shortly thereafter.
- Rishi Kapoor was completely nude in the beginning of the film.
- The Rajdoot GTS 175 Was used by the couple in the movie. The Bike was also affectionately called Bobby after this movie.

Daag is a 1972 Bollywood film produced and directed by Yash Chopra "inspired" by the novel Mayor of Casterbridge. [1].
The film was made at the height of the Rajesh Khanna craze and became a major hit at the box office.[2] The music by Laxmikant Pyarelal dominated the charts for the year. Film was later remade into the Telugu film Vichitra Jeevitham (1978)

Zanjeer
Zanjeer (Devanagari: ज़ंजीर, Nastaliq: زنجیر, translation: Shackles), is a film from India starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan (his real-life wife), Pran and Ajit. The movie changed the trend from romantic films to action films and pioneered Amitabh's new image of a brooding but explosive person who fights back when cornered. He was now known as "The Angry Young Man." The film became a "superhit" at the box office.[1]. It collected over Rs. 5 crores (Rs. 50 million) at the box office[2]
Plot summary
The world erodes around Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan), an honest police officer. He is jailed for 6 months on false charges, trapped by gang leader Teja (Ajit). When Vijay is released from jail, he plans to take revenge. Later Vijay also finds out that the person who murdered his parents, 20 years back, is Teja, by the Zanjeer that Teja wears on his right wrist. Sher Khan (Pran) a close friend of Vijay helps him get to Teja and take revenge. Mala played by Jaya Bhaduri is the love angle of the angry young man in the movie.

Yaadon Ki Baaraat
Yaadon Ki Baraat was a 1973 Bollywood film directed by Nasir Hussain. It starred Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Vijay Arora, Tariq, and Neetu Singh. The film became a box office hit.It is still remembered fondly for the score, by music director R.D. Burman. One song, Chura liya hai, as sung by Asha Bhosle and Mohd. Rafi (inspired by Donovan's title song from If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969)), is particularly well-known.
It's a classic film of Indian cinema and one of the most remembered of the 1970s.
Synopsis
The film uses the familiar Bollywood theme of siblings separated by fate. Gangland killers assassinate an honest man who defied them, killing his wife as well. The couple's three sons flee the massacre and lose contact with each other. They grow up in entirely different circumstances and are re-united only when one of the sons, played by Dharmendra, sets out to find the villain who killed their parents.

- The film earned actor Vijay Arora the title of the 3rd Potential Superstar of the decade besides Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna.
- The film earned two Filmfare nominations: Dharmendra for Best Actor and R.D. Burman for Best Music.[2]
- Nasir Husain had wanted to cast his regular actress Asha Parekh, but she was busy dancing abroad, so he gave the role to Zeenat Aman.[3]
- Neetu Singh, who had been a child actress in the 1960s, debuted as a heroine in Rikshawala (1972). When that film flopped, she took a small role in this film to revive her career. The hit song "Lekar hum" was picturized on her, and her sexy red costume and her frenetic dancing got her so much attention that she was immediately elevated to heroine roles again.
- The film was later remade in Telugu as Annadammula Anubandham. Most of the songs were also remade, such as "Churaliya hai," which was now "Gulabi puvvai," and the title song "Yaadon Ki Baarat," which was now "Anantihrudayala Anandageetam."
- The film was also remade in Tamil as Naalai Namathey, but the Hindi songs were not copied.
- A clip of the film appears in a scene in the 2004 blockbuster Swades, and remains to be the only film scene in which all the three superstars of the film industry namely, Aamir Khan (as a young artist), Shahrukh Khan (as the lead) and Salman Khan (who's dad Salim Khan wrote the movie) are seen together.
- This was Aamir Khan's debut film, with him playing a young Tariq in the title song of the film.
- Aamir Khan's debut film as a leading man was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which was also produced by the same production house but it was directed by his cousin Mansoor, instead of his uncle Nasir Hussain.
- The film's central theme- of a song uniting separated family, was producer Nasir Hussain's favorite. Using it in earlier film Pyar Ka Mausam and subsequent film Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin.

Abhimaan (1973 film)
Abhimaan (Devanagari: अभिमान, Nastaliq: ابھمان, translation: Pride) is a 1973 Bollywood film starring Amitabh Bachchan; his real-life wife, Jaya Bachchan; Asrani; and Bindu. It was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
The movie takes inspiration from A Star Is Born (1954). When it was released, audiences found similarities between real-life couple Amitabh and Jaya and the couple they portrayed on-screen—as Jaya's career was stronger than Amitabh's at the time. She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for Abhimaan.

Hollywood's original A Star Is Born was released in 1937; the notable musical remake was released in 1954. Another remake followed in 1976.

Dhund (1973 film)
Dhund (translation: Fog) is a 1973 Hindi movie produced and directed by B. R. Chopra. The film stars Sanjay Khan, his then flame Zeenat Aman, Danny Denzongpa, Deven Verma, Madan Puri, Navin Nischol and Ashok Kumar. The music is by Ravi. Dhund is the story of a young woman(Zeenat Aman), whose invalid husband (Danny) is murdered. The finger of suspicion points at the young widow and her former boyfriend (Sanjay Khan). But the killer is someone else. It was a taut thriller with a fantastic performance by Danny. Two of the songs Sansar ki har sheh ka and Uljhan suljhe na were hits.

This was the second Hrishikesh film with Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh together after Anand.
